Scrive is seeking a service reliability engineer (SRE) to complement its engineering team assisting its Head of Service Operations and other business stakeholders while working alongside another SRE.
The role primarily involves analyzing and resolving reported problems with any part of Scrive’s in-house developed software and services. There may be some tool development work to assist the service reliability effort, as well as a requirement to be on-call (shared with the other SRE) to help with system diagnosis.
Maintenance work on internal systems and assisting in system updates out of hours is required, as is a familiarity with or willingness to learn and implement a load testing system.
Additionally, following and participating in architectural discussion with engineering departments, suggesting reliability improvements to engineers and having a good general perspective on the need for system reliability is necessary.
It should be noted that this is not a development role and the successful applicant will not be carrying out generic development work on Scrive systems and services.
Applicants for this position must be based within the EU, applications from outside will not be considered under any circumstances. Remote working from within the EU is acceptable. Please note that Scrive cannot offer visa sponsorship or relocation packages, so applicants need to be eligible to work within the EU.

The following skills are required:
- Haskell (medium level)
- Frontend development (medium level, no specific framework knowledge required)
- Scripting languages, preferably including python (medium level)
- Linux experience
